What Makes the Academy for Science and Design Different?

Exploration to Expertise

Students begin as curious explorers in middle school and graduate as confident specialists ready for college and careers in STEM. Our model lets students build deep foundations early, then specialize in high school, developing mastery over time.

Learning by Doing

Students don't just study science and design, they do it. In our labs, studios, and makerspaces, ideas become prototypes and questions become discoveries. Curiosity drives the work, and real problems drive the learning.

Community & Partnerships

Industry partners, local organizations, and alumni connect our students to the real world through mentoring, collaboration, and opportunity. Learning here means learning alongside professionals who are doing the work.

Confident Communicators

Understanding is powerful. Explaining is transformative. Our students learn to communicate their discoveries to peers, professionals, and the broader community.
